This morning at 8:30 AM, the career orientation workshop entitled “Crafting Your Profile, Shaping Your Career Path” took place in room A505, drawing enthusiastic participation from students of the Advanced Program in Finance and Banking (Class of 62).
The event was honored to welcome Mr. Trần Việt Hưng, Deputy General Director in charge of the Executive Board of Vietcombank Securities Company Ltd. (VCBS), as the guest speaker. With extensive experience in both the financial sector and senior management, Mr. Hưng brought valuable insights to the discussion.
Representing the Faculty of Finance and Banking were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Việt Dũng – Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Nguyễn Thu Thủy – Head of the Department of Monetary and Banking Studies, and Dr. Phạm Ngọc Anh – Academic Advisor of the Advanced Program in Finance and Banking (Class of 62), along with other faculty members. Their presence, along with that of the guest speaker, fostered an atmosphere of engaging, professional, and inspiring academic exchange.
During the session, Mr. Hưng shared practical and relatable stories from his career journey – from crafting his very first CV to reaching his current leadership position. He offered insightful reflections and valuable lessons drawn from years of experience in the finance industry. The speaker also conducted live analyses of students’ CVs, providing tailored suggestions for improvement, skills development, and common pitfalls to avoid during job applications.
The workshop sparked lively interaction, with students eagerly raising questions about choosing the right career path, preparing for interviews, and effectively showcasing their value to potential employers. More than just a knowledge-sharing event, the session served as a powerful source of motivation for young individuals at the early stages of shaping their professional journeys.
