On September 20, the Faculty of Finance and Banking hosted its K64 Freshmen Welcome Event – “Fresher Unite 2025” at Hall D201. The event took place in a warm, vibrant yet formal atmosphere, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the new cohort.
The program was honored to welcome:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Việt Dũng, Dean of the Faculty;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trần Trung Dũng, Vice Dean;
Dr. Nguyễn Thu Thủy, Head of the Banking and Monetary Studies Department;
Ms. Đinh Thủy Tiên, Deputy Secretary in charge of FTU Youth Union and Secretary of the Faculty’s Youth Union;
together with academic advisors and lecturers who will accompany students throughout their four-year study.
The event also welcomed distinguished corporate representatives and alumni, including:
Mr. Trần Việt Hưng, Deputy General Director in charge of the Executive Board of Vietcombank Securities (VCBS);
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Kim Chi, Director of Research and Advisory at FPT Securities (FPTS), alumna and graduate student of the Faculty;
Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Đức, CFA, Head of Research at FPTS;
and Mr. Hà Thanh Long, Head of Personal Banking, MBBank Đan Phượng Branch.
Especially, the enthusiastic presence of K64 freshmen filled the hall with freshness and energy, creating a dynamic atmosphere for the program.
In his welcome address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Việt Dũng encouraged students to see their four years ahead not only as a period of academic study but also as a journey of self-exploration, resilience, and personal development. Following this, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trần Trung Dũng introduced the Faculty’s history and academic environment, helping students get acquainted with their lecturers. His address skillfully blended insightful guidance with practical reflections, from scientific research and extracurricular involvement to part-time work experiences, offering valuable advice on balancing study and personal growth.
The program continued with inspiring sharing sessions from the FBF Alpha Student Union, the Securities Investment Club (SIC) and the Future Bankers Network (FBN), all professionally supported by the Faculty. Their heartfelt messages opened opportunities for freshmen to connect, build relationships, hone skills, and find communities for holistic development. Corporate guests, industry experts, and alumni shared insights on career opportunities in finance and banking, effective student life planning, and strategies for building strong professional networks. A roundtable discussion focused on essential topics including academic study, research, extracurricular engagement, networking skills, and mental well-being — offering practical value for new students.
As the program concluded, the Faculty believes that “Fresher Unite 2025” offered memorable first experiences and meaningful orientation for the K64 cohort. The Faculty extends sincere appreciation to corporate partners, experts, and alumni for their support, as well as the coordination of FBF Alpha Student Union and the vibrant contributions from the Revolutionary Songs Club and Music Club.
The Faculty of Finance and Banking wishes all K64 freshmen a bright and fulfilling academic journey — becoming future finance professionals who are knowledgeable, ambitious, resilient, and dedicated to contributing to the community and society.
