On November 3rd, the Faculty of Finance and Banking, in collaboration with the Organization – Human Resources Department, successfully organized the Certificate Award Ceremony for foreign language lecturers at the main campus in Hanoi and Campus II in Ho Chi Minh City who have excellently completed two training courses in finance and banking from August to October 2022.
The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere with the presence of Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Anh Tuan – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the university; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Pham Thu Huong – Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice-Rector of the university; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Minh Hang – Head of the Organization – Human Resources Department; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung – Head of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, along with the lecturers who participated in teaching and the lecturers who attended the two specialized training courses at the Foreign Trade University’s main campus in Hanoi and Campus II in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the certificate award ceremony, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Anh Tuan expressed his delight at the enthusiastic response and active participation of faculties and foreign language departments in the courses. He believed that the courses have helped foreign language lecturers update and improve their knowledge of finance and banking, thereby enhancing the quality of foreign language teaching related to finance and banking. Additionally, the Rector also considered this a great opportunity for lecturers from different faculties to strengthen exchanges and share academic experiences with each other. Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Anh Tuan hoped that the model of specialized training courses like this would be expanded to other fields within the university, emphasizing that the university will always support the implementation of specialized training courses for lecturers in the future.
Furthermore, the courses also received positive feedback from the attending lecturers. MSc. Nguyen Thanh Duong – Head of the Foreign Language Department, Campus II, shared that the courses not only provided fundamental knowledge and updates on finance and banking but also facilitated the exchange of teaching methods, practices, and the design of case studies among lecturers. MSc. Bui Thi Nhung – Lecturer of the English Language Department, shared her appreciation for the enthusiastic teaching and answering of questions from the students by the lecturers of the Faculty of Finance and Banking. The courses truly helped foreign language lecturers save a lot of time and effort in researching finance and banking knowledge. MSc. Do Thi Thu Giang – Lecturer of the French Language Department also shared her impression of the well-organized class structure that was scientifically tailored to fit the students’ schedules; the lecturers and experts were well-prepared, adhered to the time frame, and enthusiastically delivered lectures, creating a comfortable yet effective learning atmosphere.
It can be said that what remains with each lecturer after the specialized training courses in finance and banking is not only updated professional knowledge but also teaching and practice methods, class organization, interaction between lecturers and students, making foreign language lecturers more confident in teaching and organizing commercial language courses related to finance and banking, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of education at the Foreign Trade University.
