On August 27th, 2018, CFA Community Vietnam and the faculty of Banking and Finance of Foreign Trade University (FTU) co- organized the launching of the CFA Research Challenge.
On the side of FTU, there was the participant of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung – Dean of Faculty of Banking and Finance, experts, representatives of CFA Community Vietnam, lecturers and students.
The official competition has been held since 2011, CFA Research Challenge is a prestigious investment analysis contest and is highly appreciated by many large financial institutions in Vietnam. This contest is a playground as well as opportunity for students with major of economics, finance and banking to practice critical thinking, have critical analytical skills and apply financial knowledge into reality of stock analysis. The competition will take place continuously for 3 months, with many exciting activities such as analyzing the company topics, making analysis report and presentation before the jury.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang affirmed that this was an annual activity with great resonance, not only activities for students but also brought practical meaning to the community. This year, FTU continued to host the contest. She gave a sincere thanks to the CFA Community Vietnam for taking care and co-operation with FTU for many years. She also sent good wishes for the contest and good luck to the teams.
At the end of the ceremony, the teams had a very active exchange of financial issues with the teachers and instructors.
