Nguyen Ngoc Chi, a third-year student from Class 2, International Finance major – K58, along with the team “Mở cửa,” has successfully navigated numerous challenging rounds to become one of the representatives from FTU competing in the final round of the competition to be held in Montreal, Canada, at the end of September.
“Mở cửa” is a career-oriented project for Vietnamese students, starting from inspiring motivation for self-change. In addition, we provide orientation programs to help young people gain deeper insights into their capabilities, thereby unlocking potential, fostering a spirit of daring to think and act, self-assessment, identifying the career to pursue, and creating opportunities to try out suitable professions,” shared the team.

Social Business Creation (SBC) is a global competition and training platform for social business innovation, initiated, organized, and supervised by HEC Montréal Canada and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus. With global sponsorship from Scotiabank and other international organizations, SBC promises a unique learning experience in an international environment and the opportunity to develop impactful business ideas and win significant awards.
Since 2018, Foreign Trade University has been the SBC Hub manager in Vietnam and the region. In 2021, the global competition attracted 165 projects from 80 universities across 24 countries, including Canada, Japan, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, India, Bangladesh, and Vietnam. In Vietnam, with the role of managing SBC Hub, Foreign Trade University garnered interest from 54 projects, with 38 projects involving 200 people passing the preliminary round to officially enter the competition.
